LP field is a horrible name. It has nothing to do with Tennessee. It is Louisiana pacific building products.

Goo Goo cluster stadium would be a better name than that garbage.

 

I like the name so much better than LP Field. But Adelphia Coliseum was the best name it's had. Something imposing about the name. I don't like "Field." And now, we have our stadium sponsored by a recognizable Tennessee company. Big step up IMO.

 

Definitely. I just find it amazing that there is so little stability in this place's name.
15 years, 4 stadium names.. pretty poor.

Do other stadiums have a name turnover averaging one name every 4 years?

 

well the owners of Aldelphia got put in prison or something and they stopped paying the naming rights fee. The Titans Stadium non-sponsored time followed for a few seasons. Finally found someone/anyone who would pay to put their name on that vanilla stadium. At least Nissan is local and huge so maybe they will at least bring stability there. Not that the FO deserves it

 

Make sure you get the extended warranty, those things are garbage. My buddy bought one and I bugged him for getting the warranty. $10k in repairs 3 years later and I'm glad he did lol.

 

How about you just call it Niss Stad for short?

Yeah, a buddy of mine worked at a Firestone garage and said any time someone brought in a Nissan he saw dollar signs. And the Titans look like ass...on and off the field.
