Not that familiar with it, but it's a really nice city from what I've seen. I've only been once and it was a very brief visit. Draws a lot of comparisons to Nashville.

I think this has been brought up before in an older Austin thread, but one thing to check out at night is the bat bridge - as in a bridge that has tons of bats swarming under it. I know that's not very specific, but you can find info on it online.

I listen to a podcast the people on it are from the area and the one thing they talk about a lot is the ****** infrastructure. Their road system was not designed to handle as many people that live there now.

 

Austin is great. So much to do and alot of unique resturaunts and shops. Ill be up there for the 4th floating the guadalupe river in new braunsfels.

6th street in Austin is epic. Should definitely try to go one night.

 

Once again... Sounds just like Nashville.

I HATE driving through town now. All these new people with their stupid new 623 area code or whatever are ruining this place for everyone.

No viable public transportation is killing this city. It's getting too big for its own good.
