Alabama is rebuilding? That's a new one.

 

The obsession over the SEC in these threads is mind numbing. First it was funny, then it became about trolls, then there were arguments, and now we're getting into pathetic territory.

they were close to making the playoffs last year. better qb play theyll be a top 5 team

 

Playoff Teams (not in any order)

Alabama - every team in the SEC is dropping a game this year. There is too much talent and too many well-coached teams this year to get through an entire schedule without a hit. Alabama is dropping their game early, October. At Georgia, home against Arkansas and then back on the road at A&M. Tough 3 week stretch, a lot of emotional games. Starting QB will still be pretty inexperienced, RB depth will be low until Bo comes back. After that, good to go. Monster DL, great LBs, improved secondary, and a ton of offensive weapons.

Ohio St - easiest prediction. Decent schedule, a lot of talent back and Meyer coaches his teams pretty well. Don't really have to get too in depth here.

TCU - riding the momentum from last season. Very favorable schedule until November but they should be fine. Have a lot of experience back.

USC - I think they finally complete the rehaul and are back competing for championships. They've always had a ton of talent but finally found the right HC and Kessler will take them far. Benefit from a down year in the Pac-12.

I would really like an Alabama vs Ohio St rematch. I think Saban vs Meyer is a great rivalry and is good for football. I gave Ohio St a lot of credit last year after the game but I still honestly believe Alabama did not play to their usual level. The potential for this year's game could be even crazier.
