I agree. Last year was see what we got and cut the fat. Now all are accountable.

Taking Poutasi seems kind of strange then. The kid isn't exactly known for his pass blocking. He's a run game mauler at the line though, so maybe Whis indeed wants to "restore the balance."

I really hope you are right, but I still go back to all of the "stupid coach tricks" that I saw last season as well. Honestly I remember seeing better coaching at my high school growing up than I saw with the Titans last season.

Maybe Whis was tanking, but if that is the case he was doing a pretty real bad job of it since he looked completely inept while doing it....

You aren't lying there....I think Lebeau's presence and Mariota's ability alone will help us get W's compared to last year. It's going to be interesting to see how Whiz adjusts with all of these new dynamics.

The defense should be better. This is year two, Lebeau was brought in, and we brought in some quality free agents. The offense should be better if we can run the ball at all. I think things are looking up. Suck for the Duck last year seems to be pretty real for this year. Lol

    Whiz will adjust.

Why cater to a QB you don't want (Locker)? If he catered toward Locker, then he probably could've made Locker look half decent (assuming Locker stayed healthy). Then we would've been in QB purgatory. Locker would've done just enough to keep the job, but would never be good enough to really thrive in Whiz's system (or any system).

Same goes for the rest of the team as well ... Why cater towards players you don't want, or won't fit your system? Sure, we probably could've squeeked out a few more wins, but we still wouldn't have been in the POs. And then our whole transition to the new system would be delayed.

Whiz wasn't necessarily sticking square pegs in round holes last year, he was sticking ALL the pegs (square, triangular, circular ...) in round holes. Which ever pegs fit he would keep, the rest would be replaced.

Mariota is different though. This is a Whiz pick. Whiz studied Mariota for months before deciding that this is the guy that he wants to lead his team. Whiz spent months figuring out how Mariota would fit into his schemes, and what needed to change to help Mariota be successful.

Whiz's success is directly tied to Mariota's success ... It was never tied to Locker or Mett.

If our O-Line can stay healthy, we would be a worlds difference than last year. Running game and QB protection will drastically improved.

I'll take a 4-5 yards per running play all day.

Main thing is to see us get better each week and not worse. We have a very young team. Should see improvement each game.

You can remain elevated above total imbecile status IMO....and unfortunately he did not from what I watched last season.
