    You can easily get a concussion doing anything.

    You can't justify keeping player from hobbies that they grew up doing. Whereas most people launch fireworks once a year at most.

    I think the fact that he blew his finger off is proof that he didn't. Because he was still acting stupid with them. If he grew up with them, he'd have been like that headless 22 year old "victim" a long time ago.

    Accidents do happen to careful people.. But stupid stuff like that, bad things would have happened much sooner if they had a lot of experience.

    How many people really get hurt from fireworks each year? How many from surfing?

    There is a limit to how much nfl should be trying to control players lives. What would be next? Can't drive or be in a car? Can't walk on a beach?

    But anyway mariotas contract holdup isn't about surfing and I don't see new contracts including a no firework clause either.

    Understand the sentiment (and legal issues) here, but don't you all see the irony in someone putting themselves out there on twitter (or whatever social media venue he was on) basically being stupid (and blowing his hand off), then getting all pissed off about having his injury record become public?

    He only has himself to blame for this....period.
