Chip Kelly may be back in college in 3 years. Explain to me why it's acceptable for a coach or GM to double-dip when fired from a contract, but not a player.

The player picked 3rd doesn't have offset language. Winston does because he's an off-the-field risk. Would Underwood give up a year or two of pay on his contract if he gets fired and takes a much lesser-paying job on another team?

Blake Bortles is screwing this entire deal up, if only he had offsets this whole thing would be done by now...

But at the same time you see how caving in to a players demands can go wrong... Fowler is out for the year, he may never be the same, could end up burning the Jags..

Nobody will answer me why it's OK for Underwood and Webster to double-dip if they get fired, but not for the face of your franchise who already has made the Titans money via an increase in season tickets and having the #1 jersey in the NFL.

Nobody bought season tickets because Taylor Llewellyn was drafted.

^ Jameis Winston's deal.... and Mariota's won't be quite that. It's not like we're talking 10 mill/year or something. I get the "precedence" thing, and I do think Mariota's camp shares in the blame. But overall I think our FO are the ones looking bad here.

Show some damn faith in the QB you just spent the 2nd overall pick on and get the deal done before it draws out into camp. FFS this is so petty at this point.

Yet the majority of the fans here are ready to jump all over the front office for something that seems to be common practice

I bet a large percentage of those are corporate PSL holders.. and with them, and the private owners, if they've stuck around through the past decade, I'm sure this won't faze them. This is far from even the biggest downer of 2015, since our own CEO stepped down from his position.

    Yeah, I'm on that page..
It just seems petty and a middle finger to the fans that have hung on thru this gauntlet of sub-mediocrity - whether the masses pay attention or not.
