I guess I'll be the one to ask the important questions.

    1) what event did he participate in.
    2) did he at least win?

Jamaal Charles initiated proceedings with a touching story about his own struggles with a learning disability. Teachers discovered that he had a serious reading disability in third grade -- his struggles to grasp basic punctuation marks led to problems comprehending text.

Hell, 98% of people on the internet don't use punctuation properly! That's not a disability and certainly shouldn't qualify you for the Special Olympics.

Im so glad we have so many highly intelligent people who also have a very high understanding of mental and learning disabilities that can inform us on the this subject.

If that's the case WildWar, over 50% of NFL players should be in the special Olympics.

A learning disability is completely different than mental retardation or mental disability. This is a very disgusting revelation and should be highly investigated.

If that's the case what? i never stated anything as a case. Yeah a learning disability isn't mental retardation but whats your ****ing point? its still a disability caused by something being neurologically wrong in someones brain. But hey that's not a real disability is it?

Here is a the exact quote from the Special Olympics website
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

So are you telling me a neurological disability that prevents and majorly hinders a persons ability to learn and function normally isn't intellectual disability? For all we know Jamaal Charles was low functioning as a child and it took years to be to get to where he is and the Special Olympics helped give him the confidence and hope he needed to do so.

Yeah, you're right, Jamaal Charles needed the special Olympics to become the top 1% athlete in the world.

So that we are clear on this, you're saying ADD and ADHD is equivalent to Down's syndrome.
