Yeah, and now it has come out where this whole "11 of 12 balls underinflated by 2 psi" crap came from. This is really pathetic IMO.

My guess is that, if the actual truth ever does come out, that we will find out that...

    1. Brady like to have the footballs on the low end of acceptable spectrum.
    2. Balls were inflated to this low end in a controlled environment (70-75 degrees F).
    3. Balls were taken outside, where the temperature was cooler.
    4. Balls lost pressure due to physics, some below NFL standards (much like a few of the Colts footballs did, but maybe more balls and lower pressures because Brady likes them at a lower allowable pressure than Luck).

Something like this is what I said months ago, and nothing that I have seen or am seeing since then changes my opinion. Bottom line is that if the league wants this to be an enforceable rule, they really need to tighten up the process (another thing I said months ago).

The NFL needs to settle this in order to keep this from getting more scrutiny IMO...I think that the onion only gets more rotten from this point.

I agree with all of this but I it also seemed as if the league also wanted to set up brady/pats.

I am not ready to go there yet...not so much because I do not see potential in what you are saying, but rather that I really do not want to believe this yet. If that comes out the NFL takes a huge step towards becoming the WWE in my eyes, and I am not sure how much I want to watch it.

    lol

you two haven't kept up with this the past few days huh?

Mike Kensil is accused of exactly that. This could be a big blow to the reputation of the league.

Oh I am aware of that, but I am hoping that this is more localized to Kensil. If it goes higher (the Patriots hate, that is) I am going to have a serious problem with the league. I love watching football, but I would struggle with this.

This whole thing really just put a damper on my season. I don't believe anyone is going to know exactly what happened and I don't believe that anyone is going to tell the truth.

Yeah, I won't argue with that. If Goodell has a brain here he will cave to whatever Brady demands IMO.

Whether the full truth comes out is up to Brady I think. Assuming Goodell does have a brain and caves in (which may be a big assumption here), does Brady drop this, or does he keep pushing? If he keeps pushing the truth would eventually come out, at a huge cost in money (Brady) and reputation (Goodell and the league).

If Goodell does not cave in this is going to get really ugly. At any rate I think that his days may be numbered here, regardless of outcome.
