How will Dexter McCluster be used in '15?

McCluster had 40 carries last year, hopefully he has even less this year. If he's playing something went wrong...

Im kind of expecting Antonio Andrews to step up and be our 3rd RB, he's only looked better and better every time he's been out there, and he's surprisingly quick for his size.

All reports are that Andrews is ahead of Cobb so far.

As far as McCluster goes, if the cheerleaders can lift him up and throw him in the air, he can do his half ass spin move and they can catch him. If they don't catch him, who cares.

 

Considering he is getting paid close to $3.5 million, that is not enough of an impact. Cut him and be done with it. It only saves around $1.35 million, but we are fine at RB with Cobb/Sankey/Andrews and we are fine in the slot with Wright/Douglas.

 

I was a big fan of Cobb during the draft process, but this actually doesn't surprise me. I think Andrews can be a solid RB as well. I love his potential.

 

McCluster is dead weight - obviously not a whole lot of it - but cut the dude. Give that roster spot to someone who can contribute.

 

I agree. If they only want him returning kicks or slot, we can Tre McBride return the kicks. Definitely cheaper

 

Who do you have taking his roster spot? I can't even come up with 49 players I like, let alone 53. I hope someone surprises in the preseason.

 

I think McCluster has talent, and I still think he can be effective in this offense. I'm not going to wait for it though, in all honesty I don't expect much out of any of our backs.
