meaningless, but, we win this game.

 

i completely forgot about this.. don't want to read through 57 pages

can someone give a short recap

one of the announcers said "early mishaps" so i guess i missed some shenanigans on here

 

Imagine all the screen passes you've seen from the Titans, then imagine one that was worse. That's how Mariota threw the pick.

Then he fumbled.

After that he was perfect.

First team defense was garbage.

 

*A urinating contest about whose fault it was that MM threw a pick.
*A bunch of crap about how ZM is clearly superior to MM after ZM had been in the game for a series or two.
*Then there's the SankeyFest. 600 posts that said that Sankey sucks.

Then there were maybe a dozen posts about the actual game that weren't part of a peeing contest, a really dumb debate, or an effort to set a record for how many times the obvious can be stated.

 

was it Locker or Mett that floated a 2 yard pass from like the 5 that got intercepted for a TD? it seems difficult to imagine one being worse than that gem.. i guess i'll have to wait for "highlight" reel

 

No problem. Let this game gauge. We have much work to do.

 

It's kinda weird seeing a #89 white dude catching balls out there....


...reminds me of Frank.

 

It was that bad.

But there was no "correct" person to throw the ball too. He should have spiked it. The play was just really bad.

 

My two cents....

• I'm worried about the D, but I think it will get better as we go. Lebeau needs more time with them. He's seeing who he can count on to play ball. Gonna take time. Can't get much worse...
• Antonio needs to get some reps with the first team. I don't think Sankey has the vision or explosion we are looking for to take the pressure off Mariota. Cobb looks like he has better vision. He runs hard, not shifty.
• I was concerned with the signing of Bell from the getgo. Unfortunately, he may be worse than I feared. Not good at all. But we didn't address the position other than Poutasi. Major concern moving forward.
  
• I thought Schwenke was going to pan out as a good starting center. He has regressed and is not the answer at C.
• Offense playcalling was questionable, but it is preseason. That being said, I don't have much faith in Wiz.
• I think DGB will be solid. It's early, but he seems to have solid receiver instincts.

Biggest concern is the OL. Doesn't matter who is taking snaps at QB...they're not going to last with this OL. Coaching? Lack of quality players? Combo of both?
