Shake up of the OL continues

That would be a good thing if the first team was worth a ****. Lol.

Sad part about all of this is I think the FO actually planned ahead and had a good plan for a good Oline. Turns out some of the players that were supposed to be good, suck. On paper, this would be a damn good line... On the field, not so.

But thet should have figured out it wasn't working and got help in the draft or free agency.

 

Levitre was the best free agent guard out there at the time and was a munchack guy. The FO took a chance, signed him, and everybody was happy. It didn't work out . Regroup and move forward. Mathis seems a lot like Levitre to me. Yes Levitre has not worked out, but I would like to see us not make that mistake again. Poutasi can play guard or tackle, Stingley can play tackle. I had rather see us try to use the ones we have now on our roster or maybe a cut from another team. Yes we have the cap space, but we all not pleased with Levitre and his salary . Just my thoughts.

 

I don't care how it gets done as long as they acknowledge the line sucks and try to fix it.

 

And I think they are trying to fix it with all the changes they are making. They realizing it was not working.

 

Mariotas ability to work the short and pop pass might be the difference of 4-12 and 8-8. Mett would never be able to settle behind that Swiss cheese line and play the game he wants to play it (in the medium-long range area).

Mariota MIGHT have a chance given his wheels and decision making. We can only hope

 

Thank god we took Warmack and Lewan, the only two good linemen we have.

 

That's a good point IF Whiz is smart enough to give him that option. I.e. If Whizs offense forces him to throw the ball downfield a lot then Mariota might get killed.

 

It would be awesome if Poutasi somehow turns into a young stud. Then we would be set.

 

I missed when Warmack was good. Maybe good relative to the rest of the scrubs we have.

 

It is unfortunate the Levitre was a total bust. I mean it's like Haynesworth 2.0. I was so excited to get him, but was soon disapointed. It's the way things work out too often though.
