    Depth:

DL, Toby Johnson, Coty Sensabaugh and Cody Riggs all good

LB and OLB depth all bad.

Defense played well, glad to see them get off the field on 3rd down. Rams looked bad too

Here's a delightful little stat from last nights game; "the Rams ran 13 plays against the Titans starters and only totaled 31 yards" - Jim Wyatt

As long as we're on the + side of injuries - sky's the limit.

However, I don't want to bleed too much into the conversation with it just being week 2 of preseason, and 1st team playing less than a 4 qtrs..

However, that being sad, I saw some things I liked. The most notable was Perish's "GET AFTER IT" mentality on jumping that route. If that kind of disciplined mindset can leak to all our DB's - then we will be a very feared Pass Defense...... I say disciplined, because that goes the other way as well - you can have an unchecked willingness to jump a route - and give up a 40+yd TD.

The Other 2 DTS with Casey.. Are they new ??FA's??rookies?? All3 of them are great vs the run.

Our depht at LB is horrible maybe we could pick someone later on.

Jones is the other DE across from Casey, he's a 2nd year Titan, and Al Woods was a FA pick up last off season... Both are new starters for us this year.

I've been impressed with the DL so far, very disciplined and are getting penetration. I wonder if we PUP Sammie Lee Hill to start the year, I don't see him playing better than Woods or Toby Johnson as of now...

Well, the D definitely looks better and the players are playing with a passion and effort we havent seen in quite a while. That was apparent in both weeks of the preseason and definitely showed in a lot of individual performances as well as the whole unit.

However, it was clear to me on our first 2 posessions on both sides of the ball that we seriously game planned this game. So from a scheme standpoint, we certainly outschemed them on both sides of the ball as they were running more basic stuff except for GW throwing a lot of exotic looks Mariota's way. This is kind of a no-no in the first 2 pre-season games and one of the reasons we looked a lot better on both sides of the ball.

Now, I will give the D and lot of credit and besides the players a lot has to do with LeBeau because I have noticed a lot of significant playcall changes even in the pre-season as well as vastly better run fits and effort play in play out. So kudos to LeBeau and that unit for coming together and working towards being a top tier D!!!

I am happy to see Orkapo look like the beast of a couple of years ago and we just have to hope he doesn't get injured. He might be the best player on our D and for a 3-4 zone D, plays arguably the most important position and he's as good as it gets right now!!! Orakpo had one of the most impressive plays when he was lined up outside Klug and on the snap, read the play so fast he blew past Klug and made the tackle with Klug coming in late to get in on it. Klug isn't a slow guy!!!

Morgan had one of his best rushes on that pick 6. If Foles didn't let it go right then Morgan earholes him!!!

Even Griffin played very well last night. I really like how we are gearing up to stop the run and then giving a lot of different looks and coverages on long yardage situations. LeBeau might be our best off-season aquisition!

Aubrey and Riggs need to make this team. They stood out and were very active. Mount had a decent game considering he played like a DE 90% of his snaps.

Only slight disappointment was Morgan not getting a sack on his stunt and Brown not being able to beat a RB picking his blitz up and keeping him away from Foles for 4 seconds.

Want to see how this unit looks when the other team is game planning for them next week. That will be a truer test and why Fish wasn't upset his 1st team O couldn't do much playing a vanilla offense against us.

I think basically everyone has said it as this point, depth is the real issue for this unit. Everyone stays healthy? We could be looking at a top 15 unit. Orakpo and McCourty go down? Bottom. Titans also have a very good front 7, if the DBs can hold their own then this unit could do surprisingly well.
