I really don't understand the hate for Jeff Fisher on here. I mean, yeah he probably lasted a little longer than he should have here but there is no debating that 8-8 is better than 2 years of Munch and a 2-14 season with Whis. He also played in a division that was dominated by the Colts and Manning.

The resentment built up for a lot of fans over time.

.... dude. Do you really have an Eagles avatar and are crying about people booing?

You have zero clue about Philly fans, eh?

Being the bigger man? This isn't a bar fight, goof-troop.

It's a friendly hazing. He deserved to get boo'd.

    ... really?

When you say garbage like "the franchise's longest tenured (exactly the reason to boo him) and most successful coach"... that's like saying "My dad is the best dad I ever had." You're using words and saying nothing.

So we didn't fire him when he should have been? Oh. Well that changes everything!

Top 3 in wins... a team that should have won Super Bowls but failed due to his god-awful play-calling and conservatism.

    No.

Better than 2 years of Munch? Sorry, Munch IMPROVED Fisher's team.

But that's just it. You guys that don't hate Fisher have short memories.

Yep. Fisher did a fantastic job of putting together talented teams. His talented teams got bullied and beaten in the playoffs though.

Had he simply not held McNair back against a weak Pass D (Rams) until he was forced to allow McNair to throw it, we would have a Super Bowl win.

But he did the same ol' garbage Fisher-ball nonsense. Trying to run the ball and keep up with the best scoring offense possibly ever.

Dude was an idiot. Plain and simple. And he fluked his way into that Super Bowl with the MCM.

Fisher gave up near the end and just went through the motions. He lost all the respect from me at that point.

He wasn't a great captain that went down with the ship... No, he's the guy that runs into an iceberg then survives to captain another while many others perished because of it.

He even said it himself when he wore the Colts jersey while coaching the Titans "I just wanted to feel like a winner." ~ Fishface

That is basically telling everyone he's steering for the iceberg...

All of that is beside the point.

Never once said he was a good coach. Wanted him gone long before he was fired.

It's about paying respects... And he was well deserving of that despite what you may think.

Even Eagles fans welcomed back Andy Reid a couple seasons ago.
