And how many times did we use Walker in the backfield since he has been here?

don't sleep on what Fowler can provide for the offense.

all I'm saying is, we have the makings of a very dynamic offense w plenty of weapons.

Yea that's irrelevant because we signed him to be a true TE. But he showed out in SF as an Hback/FB

It's not irrelevant if we are going to be building Fowler up like Delanie.

We use him to be a true TE because he is a true TE. San Fran had their number 1 TE.

DW is not even a good rushing FB. He has no rushing TD's and the most rushing yards he had in a season was like 30 something.

So, why would we want Fowler to be a DW when we have one?

Fowler to me is a Mike Tolbert, and I'm cool with that. I like Tolberts game.

Swiss Army knife. That's what DW was. He eventually became a true TE. Fowler has those aspects of his game. Plus he can run the ball. Fowler can do more than just be a bullheaded FB

Still man, did we really need that??

It's like putting some BBS rims on your whip when your check engine light is on.

    Luxury pick all the way

Eh. I veiw it differently obviously. Having someone that can be a chess piece is a huge difference maker out the backfield than just a TE.

I noticed thus far with our offense, we are leaning towards tight and bunch sets. A FB threat helps in multiple ways. Could we put a TE there? Sure. That's essentially what fowler is. Why carry JUST a Te?

I use him in the split-back formation in madden, does that count?

    Aha!

Because it's easier for a TE to play flex or FB/HB than putting a FB on the line as an inline blocker and still getting him to run TE routes.

A TE can do all things related while a FB can only do fullback things. Therefore a TE is more flexible than a FB.

Pretty much. Look at how the Pats used Aaron Hernandez.

How many FB have been used as a TE?
