Mariota OROY and the Titans to make the Playoffs.

    120/1 for the double.

    I got a big pot riding on this team this year, just to add a little further stress to the season.

    I think we have strengthened enough on both sides of the ball, to where I hope we will be in wildcard contention.

    Couple of things will make the difference:

    Levitre getting binned for Bell was the last straw before I pulled the trigger on this. The line will be better than last year, no doubt. We look like we might just be able to run the ball this year.

    Defense wasn't as bad as they looked last year. Time of Possession was huge. We have added 3 quality players in Orakpo, Cox and Searcy. We look to be bringing on Jones and Woods, who both look awesome. Getting Zack Brown back is huge too.
    From a talent standpoint we are way better than last year.

    Schedule. It's about as easy a schedule as you would hope.

    Last years memories, no one wants to get beat like we did last year. We look hungrier and almost pissed off.

    The last item and the biggest is Mariota. Man does he look good, the media loves him. I think if we sneak into the playoffs and he is involved the whole year, he is def OROY. The two kind of go hand in hand IMO. Running the ball and stopping the run will be the biggest factors.

    I think we could go 9-7.

    I don't think it'll happen, but I'll gladly throw $10-20 on that.

    Where can I bet?... Aside from Vegas.

    TOP is way more dependent on the offense than the defense.
    A few more first downs and a few more 3rd down conversions and they're no longer looking up from the cellar on TOP.

    The offense not being able to run the ball last year really effected the defense and caused them to get winded by the 3rd quarter. If TOP is more even and the defense can rest that will go a long way to helping the defense, not to mention the players you mentioned that we added.

    I'm still saying we go 6-10, I don't think we're quite there yet and 9-7 is a huge jump, but I do think it can happen if everything goes right.

    If we actually had any depth whatsoever then this would actually be interesting. Either the defense miraculously stays healthy and we're there at the end or we flame out with a few injuries like last year and we're back in the top 10.

    Mariota rookie of the year? Sure.

    Titans making the playoffs tho? Not so sure that's in the cards this season. At best I see a 9-7 team, a lot of years that's not enough, but sometimes it is.......

    If you believe Mariota has a chance at ROTY then you also believe that we have a good shot at the playoffs.

    QBs don't win ROTY without making the playoffs or coming damn close. VY was one game away from the playoffs. Had we beaten the Pats week 17, we would've been in.

    RG3 (who won ROTY), Wilson, and Luck all made the playoffs as rookies. Again, if you're a QB and in that ROTY running, you're damn near the playoffs, if not in there.

    So if Mariota wins ROTY, that means we are in the playoff hunt all the way to the end.

    Again, I expect neither and still believe this is a 4-6 win team this season, but at 120/1 odds I'll happily put down $10 or $20 that I'm willing to lose.

    If magic strikes, I win $1200 or $2400... off of a nothing bet. If I lose, oh well.

    I disagree with the odds on the double, but there not far off. I'd say more like 80/1, so I'd put a friendly 20 on this.
