    I defended Sankey plenty...but I jus read an article where he says he's happy with his rookie season. Scrub.

    I think Sankey was really bad last year but I've been cautiously optimistic that he'll improve this year. But I gotta say, it's tough not to view the fact that we are currently carrying 5 backs (6 if you count Cobb) as an indictment on our 2nd round pick from a year ago. I think it's pretty clear this staff isn't very confident in the guy.

    Who knows though. Our OL was terrible last year and he was a rookie. Last season may not have told the full story on Sankey, but it sure didn't look good.

    He was a big part of the problem and needed to be replaced. Apparently, the Jets felt the same way. We'll know soon enough if Sankey is an upgrade.

    Why the run game stunk last season:
    1. OL was horrific/injured.
    2. Defense couldn't get off the field.
    3. Whiz bailed on the run too early.
    4. Sankey wasn't effective in limited opportunities (152 total carries).

    Any two of those four things happen and you get a bad running game. Most of the time, all four happened.

    Nah, I'm good. CJ got **** on by the fans & media here. I understand people didn't like him cause he didn't take much of the blame, his contract and cause they felt he didn't put in an effort.

    Sankey was trash when we drafted him and still is. He doesn't have anything elite trait for a running back.

    Usually when you draft a running back in the first round or in his case the first running back taken. They have either one or a combination of elite size, elite speed, elite strength, elite vision.

    Sankey has no elite traits at all.

    Besides his very last season here, CJ at times still flashed elite skills, no matter how poor the o-line was his last few seasons here by using his elite speed take a long run to the house.

    Sankey has to no elite traits, he will always just get what the line is able to open up for him.

    CJ didn't get the benefit of the doubt for running being a crap line, Sankey won't get it from me.

    Next man up.

    Not likely. He'll need to learn the playbook. I predict he'll be in for less than 10 snaps. But he has potential to be a feature back.
