Doug Martin will have more yards than any Titans running back this season.

 

But the Titans will have more total rushing yards than the bucs

 

College and pre-season defenses normally don't show you too many exotic looks or disguise coverages, The Rams and KC occasionally threw some stuff at him but nothing like what teams will be tossing his way in the regular season. So while he has done a great job in recognizing this stuff in the pre-season, he didn't see that much and not much of it in college.

So while I've really liked how far he's come in such a short period of time, I have a feeling he will still go thru some growing pains...especially when our OL also goes thru growing pains. I just hope the OL's growing pains aren't dumped on Mariota.

I totally agree that Whiz needs to make TB think enough about Mariota running so they have tp spy him the whole game to...as you said, get an 11 v 10 advantage!!!

 

Considering we have like 5 RB's and the epitome of RBBC, any starting RB should have more yards than any signle RB on the Titans! But that doesn't mean we can't put up a LOT of rushing yards!!!

 

It should be a good game. Our run game is improved as Martin is on his contract year and finally playing like it after two seasons of garbage. This alone will help our line as we're not going to have to rely on Winston's arm. Our run defense should also be better and we upgraded in the traditional weak spot of the Tampa 2, the flat pass, but whether we did enough remains to be seen.

If the Bucs win this game, it will because of forcing a turnover at a critical time, not because of Jameis Winston, who is okay for a rookie but that's all.

 

Mariota is undefeated vs Winston, see no reason that wont continue

 

We were bigger last year and got worse at stopping the run. .

 

Winston has better weapons on offense, Mariota has to do more, which he is capable since he is mobile and I think he will play significantly better just because he can handle the blitz and make plays with his legs.

 

They are starting ali market, that rookie from division 3. This should be a big game for casey and Brown.
