The true test will come week 3 vs Indy..if he can put in a good performance and a win then many will be convinced...unless of course Indy is 0-2 then we will get " Titans just beat a team that's struggling at the moment"

Winstons playbook being wide open apparently isnt a good idea for him.

You could clearly see how we fit some plays for Mariota but he just looks like a pro out there. He still has a ways to go but the beginning exceeded all expectations.

 

We did get a lot of attention during Jevon Kearse's first seasno when no one could block him

 

I don't care what the so-called experts think or say. It's far too soon for anyone to be able to anticipate how much Marcus will accomplish. I just find it very exciting to feel like we have a fighting chance again! It's been way too long since that was the case.

 

Honestly, I think if Winston had the game that Mariota had there would be a lot more talk about it.

Give it 5-6 more games and I think Mariota proves to the doubters that the hype is real and he's no fluke.

To the ones that say "it was just the Bucs"; Lets see which other QB puts up 4 TDs in the first half against them. If everyone does, then it's just another game. But when no one else does, you'll have to admit Mariota had a hell of a game.

 

Matt Ryan and Ben Roelisberger both threw 3 TD's in 3 quarters last year vs the Bucs. But no 4 in 2 quarters like Mariota just did..
