    Hard to believe there are still people out there that argue that VY was actually good...lol!

    What a joke, he had plenty of shots to succeed at other teams once he left here and he wasn't even good enough to land a backup position.

    While I'm ecstatic about Mariota's debut, it only makes sense to remain cautiously optimistic. One good game does not guarantee he's the next Montana or Marino. Certainly WAY too early for the "I told you so".

    31-17 for the Titans. For a whopping 74% win percentage. If you apply that to a 16 game season we are winning 12 games a year if he started every one. VY did not suck. We did have a good defense throughout his time here, but Justin Gage was probably the best receiver he played with. Fisher is the reason we didn't do more with him starting.

    Tim Tebow has a winning record as an NFL starter. And a playoff win. That doesn't make him a good qb.

    VY couldn't run an NFL offense. He still can't. That's why he's out of the league. The Titans won because we had a great OL, an awesome running game, and (for the most part) a good defense.

    And the no WR excuse is weak. Russell Wilson plays exceptionally well despite no talent at the WR or TE position before this yr. Brady has won multiple SBs with crap at the WR positions. What receivers did McNair have to throw to other than Mason for a couple seasons?

    The guys on CBS calling the game mentioned that he has some similar traits to Marino. Namely a very quick release. Same thing really helps Phillip Rivers. From the time he sees an open receiver to the time he gets rid of the ball is practically the blink of an eye. Marry that with accuracy, and good decision-making (what he's known for) and we ALL have reason to be......OPTIMISTIC.

    Comparing certain traits of QB's isn't the same as crowning them a HOF'er. Talking about putting words in people's mouths. That's quite a leap....confusing well-deserved OPTIMISM with CORONATION. No one has done the latter.

    VINCE YOUNG'S PLAY ON THE FIELD LITERALLY SAVED JEFF FISHER'S JOB! The player that sucked (Kerry Collins) nearly cost Jeff Fisher his job.

    If you are a true Titan's fan, you remember this ironic hug from Fisher. It's the hug of a guy who earlier, tried to plant a knife in your back, and you saved his life, anyway...figuratively speaking.

    I frankly don't give a flip how his career turned out, after the meltdown. I knew at that moment, he'd be extremely lucky to ever play another down in the NFL, after that foolishness.

    BS!!! He only get's compared to QB's who flopped. There are plenty of rookies who did not flop and never is Mariota compared to them, by you haters. You even try to compare him to QB's like Kaepernick and Newton, WHO ARE STILL STARTERS and have led their teams to playoff appearances. You like to pretend they too, are flops.

    I guess being paid millions to start and still doing so = flop, in your estimation, eh? Pfffft
