I think samkey will be fine and useful in the "new" o, with better line play and of course mariota. I don't think he was the best back in that draft, but i do think his skill set compliments mariota better than hyde or hills would (if sankey turns the corner). We drafted a back snd traded for one, if this doesn't light a fire on his a** then he's done here imo. But, mariota and this new o is better suited for a fast/shifty back, not a downhill runner. If sankey doesn't do well this year i expect the titans to get a " big time" fa pickup or get a 1st or 2nd round rb next year.

I think Sankey will do better this year too. He seems to be running a lot harder. Seeing a hole and running hard into it like he should.

Whiz always mentioned Sankey's footwork when he was mentioned...maybe he's figured that part out and is finally doing what he's being asked to do.

If games didn't get so out of hand and he got more opportunities last year,I think he could have aproached 1k. 150 touches isn't a lot. Should have kept feeding Sankey and getting him reps but Whiz gave a lot of carries to our other bum backs.

Personally, from the tape I watched, I thought Hill was the best RB in that draft. I liked Hyde and Sankey as well, I pretty much had them even. I think Sankey ran the fastest forty at the combine of the group which may have been a plus. Also, I do recall off the field concerns with both Hill and Hyde; Sankey was/is squeaky clean.

I gotta say Sankey is really impressing me lately, if he keeps this up I think we could all soon forget about not drafting Hill or Hyde.

I said it then, and I'll say it again....JEREMY HILL was and is the best RB of that class. I am still not 100% sold on Hyde. Sankey has underwhelmed for the most part IMO. Still chaps me.

Hell, the entire draft is a crap shoot. There's no way to know for sure how ANY draft prospect will turn out. You just roll the dice and hope for the best.

This is true, no questions...but had it not been for Sankey's awesome combine/pro day, we wouldn't be talking about this. Hill outplayed him vs tough competition, as did Hyde. We had a crap OL and went with a shift kind of guy with "potential". Now I am not saying that Sankey can't pull it together and I hope he does, but most everyone on here knew that Hill brought aggressive running and moved the chains. That is something we did not have. I still scratch my head over it. They legit went into the season with DMC and a bum kneed Shonn Greene and Leon Washington....lol

It's so frustrating to watch that man....Jeremy Hill and Hyde bowling over people and making something out of nothing, and we have a guy who is getting competition from un-drafted free agents etc...If he can't get the run going, he better be one hell of a receiving back.
