I agree. But we must also take into consideration that Fisher did not want, nor like VY. He wanted to draft Cutler. Chow, who was the offensive coordinator wanted Leinart from USC. When Grandpa Adams said, "I don't care who you want, your are getting VY. End of Story." It caused hatred towards VY. I honestly believe Fisher and Chow made the play calling hard for VY. I remember the play calling was very one dimensional and boring. It was too easy to figure out and Chow made remarks that I believe cost him his job. The game against Washington, VY was just handing the ball of to the running back. We were going 3 and out every possession. We had Randy Moss on the team. We were down, and VY was taken out. VY threw his pads into the stands and Rusty came in for him. The next play with Rusty at QB he throws a deep ball to Randy Moss at the endzone, only to have it called back. That is when VY had gotten upset and all of the drama started. VY needed to mature and grown up, but I don't think they ever intended to have the play calling made for him. It is an opinion, and as for Mariota, I am taking it one game at a time. BUT I AM FREAKIN HAPPY Right now. I will enjoy this week. We have the offensive player of the week and it is our QB. How awesome is that.

 

Well, again... you draft a QB that high, if he is cut in 5 years or less from the team that drafted him... he's a bust.

Good God, enough already, VY was a BUST....period! To argue otherwise just shows ignorance.

If you want to talk about how many games he won, I'd argue that there is NO way we would have went 10-0, and 13-3 in 2008 with VY at the helm. So by your logic, since KC lead the team to a better single year win record than VY ever did, and even took the Giants to the Superbowl he is an awesome QB, right....HOF bound perhaps? Obviously he must be much better than VY...who never even won a single playoff game when we had a top ranked defence, great Oline and running game. Your argument is plain stupid and tired.

Bottom line VY was and is a bust, move on and let's look forward to what we have going forward with the Mariota era!

Oh, and what about another great VY career stat, like 46 TDs vs 51 INTs? Yeah, now that I think about you're right, those are the stats of a GREAT QB?

I can't fully describe the smile I had on Sunday thinking about Trent Dilfer and that lame ass article he wrote back in January. Basically said that Mariota wasn't ready for the NFL. He needed to sit one to two years before takin an NFL snap. This is the reason why analysts are idiots most of the time.
