And then WE'VE got MM saying this:
Marcus Mariota says NFL pass pressure is "relentless, it's every down." Says seven sacks vs. Browns were all on him, that he can do a lot more to help offensive line.

This kid grows on me a little more each week both on and off the field!

    Trigonometry also isn't that hard.

Said very few of my students during the section on trig identities.

    Grading those tests was... yikes.

Tell them to just wait for trig substitution in Cal II. Or second order linear DEs in Differential Equations. They'll be glad they learned them.

    You teach Pre Calculus?

Very few decent teachers left that can teach high school math. I applaud that.

I didn't teach in high school, I taught college (as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and then as an adjunct for a year). I taught Remedial Algebra, Pre-Calculus Algebra, Pre-Calculus Trig, Calculus A, Calculus B, and Statistics. Had I not gotten a full time job, I would've taught Linear Algebra and Calculus C that semester (I also tried to create a low level Category Theory class, but the department wouldn't let me despite the student interest I drummed up, boo).

But yeah, I tried to tell them to pay close attention to the substitution section in my Trig class because they would need it later on (though my primary focus was on speed quizzes where they had to evaluate a bunch of trig functions quickly (I really didn't want my students going through engineering school not knowing sin(2pi))).

The good thing about the trig substitution section in Cal B though is that it's almost formulaic for them, which I was thankful for, because yeah, I still have nightmares about that trig substitution tests... "They just needed one substitution and it all worked out... why... why did this student use the back of every page for a 200 line proof that never went anywhere? WHY!?"

Have you seen this common core math teachers have to hash out these days? The world is failing.

Maybe two were on him... He's just being modest. Not much he can do to help this sh*t OL.
