Pre-Game Thread Colts @ Titans Pre-game

As a matter of fact, we laid down the rest of the season.

 

Actually, both threw for 2TDs and Mariota was the MUCH better QB of the two. So it wasnt about not being able to win a "shootout".

Manziel should have never completed those two bombs. (The only 2 meaningful passes he completed the whole game) If the Titans didn't have scrubs starting in the secondary, those are incompletions at best, probably picks against decent players. Matter of fact, the second one he should have been flat on his back 2.5 seconds after the snap.

Credit where credit is due though, he burned Orakpo and made 2 nice throws.

Chris Simms can suck a fat turd. I'm getting more confident as the week goes by.

The Colts are far from a top notch team at this point and I don't think anyone is classifying the Titans as plain horrible.

The Titans have a real good chance of winning this game if they don't shoot themselves in the foot like the Browns game. Without the self inflicted wounds last week, it's 2-0 Titans against 0-2 Colts. The Titans still wouldn't get any credit so I guess it doesn't matter.. Lol

 

If we do win it's not gonna be go titans, is gonna be "what's wrong with the colts".

No one is going to respect our team til we really do something special... like make a push for the playoffs, so sit tight til later in the year, cause I suspect we'll continue getting overlooked

 

Agreed, I think WHEN we beat the Colts this week, and if we come back after the bye and beat the Bills, people will start talking about us. We would be 3-1 at that time and no one could claim we played no real defense after going against Buffalo.

WHEN we beat the Colts this week everyone will write it off as the Colts defense being massively injured and Luck had a hangnail during the game.

Full Disclosure: The Bills game is the one game I'm going to this year so I'm really hoping we don't suck complete ****. Bringing my little brother to fully convert him to a Titan but it won't be easy if we get slapped around.

Next on the media darling list: Marcus Mariota.

When Mariota and the Titans start winning consistently, the media will start talking. Mariota brings a whole new draw to the Titans because of his character. Even fans of other teams like to see a guy like him succeed.

This team has won with "no name" QBs in the past and most people wouldn't even recognize there was a team in TN. Mariota brings a lot of star power though...even beyond the guys we as fans consider legends of the Titans.

Guys like Eddie George and Steve McNair are legends of Titans football to us fans... But I don't think outsiders think about them as fondly as we do. It never seemed like they attracted the attention of media and other fans that big names on other teams do. It seems different with Mariota and I think if(when) he has some wins under his belt he (and the Titans) will be in the discussion a lot more.

 

And Simms went 1-4 last week on guaranteed to lose. We have a young team . Will be ups and downs. Hope this is an up week. Put colts 2 games behind us.
