Because one game is more than enough proof.

 

One of the things that concerned me most with watching my boy take hit after hit last weekend was what that was going to do his psychy. There were a couple of times where he looked like he was walking around in a daze after some of those hits. I also noticed some looks of uncertainty as in this is way more than I had bargained over. In the end, you know where uncertainty takes you. It's the antithesis of being confident. If this team can't get the hits to the quarterback cleaned up, it wouldn't surprise me to see in the long term a broken quarterback. Not only physically but maybe more so mentally. He can not go week after week with that kind of protection or the lack of it. He will be ruined. Period.

Understand this didn't answer your question, but there was a point to the response. I don't think this has happened but if some of those hits last week will cause uncertainty, apprehension and uneasiness in the short term....

It may not be long. Marcus as good as he is I have never seen him take the abuse he took last week. And in the end a big part of being successful is mental. And if he is not mentally into it lets say like he was in week one. It may be a very short period.

 

In 2 games, Mariota has thrown almost as many TDs as Mett threw in 6 games last season. Mett threw 7 INTs in that time, Mariota has thrown 0. Mods, please delete this thread...
