He had 1 good season and people were acting like he was the greatest thing ever. I didn't mind him leaving, was never a Verner believer

 

i would still gladly take him back, we have the worst secondary in the nfl

 

Today was the first time I've seen Griffin make a play on the ball in probably 2 years. Ballhawk, lmao

 

well he won that competition so what is the problem. If he is a pro he should welcome the competition

 

Ive always liked Verner and thought we should have kept him. Wonder how he went from playing good last season to terrible this season. I haven't watched any of the games personally though (week 1 only obviously)

 

Verner has always had a challenging time in the NFL despite actually having a good sense for things on the field. From being a midround draft pick to playing for Jerry Gray and having to win back job he already earned, the universe has done Verner no favors.

His knocks have always been his size and lack of top end speed, and because of that coaches overlook him. But despite physical shortcomings, hes outperformed all of my expectations I had for him.

I haven't seen him in Tampa this year since our game 3 weeks ago but maybe he's lost a step and it's showing more. But either way Tampas other starting CB is hurt now, so Verner will get a shot to win back snaps...

If Vern is still the DB he was when he left us, he'll surprise some people next week.. That is when Vern is his best after all

 

if he lost a step that impacts him more than most since he wasn't that fast to start with

 

he was the best db we had every year he was here, and ranked better than all our CBS Las year.

 

Lol. Last time I checked, the Titans were starting blidi wreh Wilson at cornerback. Verner in his worst day is better. Titans defense sucks out loud at all phases. Everyone is backup caliber other than Casey.
