This. We tried to pound the ball in, and didn't work... multiple times. So why in the world with the GAME ON THE LINE would you try it again?

We should of scored on that possession & we wouldn't even be having this convo. For one, why did Zach Brown run directly into Morgan? Derrick clearly had Luck blocked and all he had to do was run around him for a TD... instead runs right into him. Should of been a pick-6, instead we get a FG because of a goal-line stand. Just our luck.

The play previous to that was a 1-yard TD from Fowler, wasn't it?

It's hard to run the ball near the goal-line in the NFL especially when they know you're going to do it and yet alone seeing the formation the 4th time.

I really thought they were going to run PA off of this. They had Supernaw in and I had my eyes locked on him thinking he was getting the ball.

Not sure if someone has already mention this, but I re-watched the 1 yard TD run by Fowler and the 2-point conversion attempt to see the difference on both sides.

TD - Colts defense seem like they didn't do any sort of stunts and/or they were gassed from the 9 play-drive. Meredith pulled, Klug kicked out. Fowler scored.

Failed 2-Point - Colts DL pinched. The guy lined over Schwenke cut him and penetrated enough in the back field to trip up Meredith pulling. Klug kick out block failed. He was pushed into Fowler in the hole.

Lesson we learned? Don't run the same play back-to-back when the game is on the line. Atleast have someone back there that has the ability to leap over the line as a last resort.

I was shocked when it wasn't a play action. Maybe whiz was thinking he could outsmart them and they'd be expecting it too. Either way, I hated the call. So close yesterday, they better beat them in the rematch.

WRONG. The lesson we learned is drafting a FB is pointless, period.

Fowler wasn't the problem. The play call was not smart- Whiz was trying to teach the young team a lesson. It back-fired at the expense of having a chance at overtime and possibly a W.

The problem remains with our chitty OL. That's on Webster.

And Whiz remains recalcitrant to criticism.

Just as we thought Whiz had gotten beyond his stubborness...

“A lot of times (opponents) know the play or at least they say they do because they’re trying to call them out, so it really comes down to execution. We didn’t execute well enough. But you have to give the (Colts) credit. They made a play.”

And the reason the defense had an opportunity to make a play is because they knew what was coming. The problem is, the Titans aren't good enough yet to execute every play well even when the defense doesn't know what's coming.
