I've said this over and over, he needs to show his legs a few times a game. It will slow the pass rush just a bit and make the OLs job that much easier, and they'll also have different responsibilities as far as keeping their rush lanes.

Rodgers does it every week, and you can see how that opens up and wears out the Rush.

Reminds me of the time we played the Ravens on MNF and McNair scored on a QB sneak to win the game but we got stiffed by the referees because one Raven was off-side and the rule back then was the play was dead.

So we get another shot. And of course, Fisher runs the exact same play.

Yes. He runs, he blocks and can catch a pass- thus not one dimensional. I think the play ended pretty much as it would have had anybody else ran the ball. It was power run that was sniffed out. The only way it works if our OL can create a seam.

I don't think its accurate to declare Fowler "very one dimensional" off of a power run play in which the defense appeared to have the knowledge of the running lane before the snap.

By one-dimensional, I meant by style of running. He had no shot once he saw the hole not there to accelerate and go wide or over that pile.

Why isn't it fair to call Fowler a power runner? He's a FB. That's what you want from your FB.

Sure, there's no guarantee Sankey does any better but I think he has more ability to bounce that out though it's probably doomed regardless. It wasn't Fowler's fault but shows the limitations of the play if the blocking isn't executed perfectly.

And, if anything, this OL has shown it is far from being reliable so far this season.

I agree completely with what you're saying. I misunderstood what you meant by one dimensional. He is a power runner but he has good hands and was VERY useful in college on slip/bubble screens. His skill set reminds me a lot of Kuhn from GB. I hope we can use Fowler like GB uses Kuhn.

    Bad poll.

I agree with the call to go for 2... I disagree with the playcall and execution.

Nope. An extra point would've tied it. Not 100%.

Could have just as easily called the pat.
