Our issue hasn't been scoring points. Our issue has been bad plays on defense.

We're averaging more points per game than Atlanta right now.

Watt and casey on the same line with morgan and orakpo coming behind them, wow. Would be an incredible front 7.

Julio couldn't stay on the field. He is a nightmare when healthy.

I went with Watt. The offense has a leader and an impact player in Mariota. The defense with all the talent it has could use some one like Watt leading the way. I agree with the poster above that said Watt would make the greater impact. I don't know how many times I have a seen a brilliant receiver get moved to a different team and sitatuation that is totally wrong for them and and watch them flounder. Percy Harvin with Seattle most recently. That's not to say that Julio would turn into Percy here. I don't think he would. I think Mariota and he would be a great duo. I just think the defensive side of the ball could use some leadership and I think Watt would be the most impactful player out of the two. This team would be a playoff team right now with him on it. I don't know if I could say the same thing with Julio. Amazing talent though.

Julio is one of several great WR's in the league. I don't think there is anyone else like JJ Watt.

I do, too, and it is hard for me to say it, but I think we have a better chance of finding our own Julio Jones. I can't really remember a player like Watt.

Watt... and it isn't even really close for me.

Watt on this team means we sweep the Texans and Jags for eternity.

I love Julio, and he's probably the best WR in the game right now, but Watt is the best defensive player in the league... and the best defensive player in ages.

The answer is Julio, outside of some injury concerns. JJ is a great player by all means, but in this day and age, defense is secondary to offense. THe Texans have made the playoffs twice with the best defensive player in the league, and one of those years was his rookie year where he only had 5 sacks. Last year he had 20 sacks, and Houston was 9-7 and still just 16th in the league in total defense. The point being, a defensive in a 3-4 set is not a game changer. And dont get me wrong, if we have a chance to get him, do it, he is a great player, but I would take the stud wideout over a 3-4 DE anyday.

In saying that, I dont think either is the biggest concern. A RT and consistent RB would help Mariota more than Julio would.

Lol we're basically arguing over two complete and total pipe dreams. It'd be a dream come true to have either.
