If Mariota continues to struggle how long till Mett?

LOL, without Mariota this team would not even be competative.

 

To Metts defense, last year we kept hearing about "Oh Mett hasnt won a game as a starter'. Even though Mett had 3 linemen who were off the street.

However, Mariota is our only hope for both wins and to be talked about throughout the league. Its the only thing keeping us from being Jacksonville. Even though their QB put up over 300 yards and 4tds on the Bucs today. Hmmm maybe not that big of a deal after all huh?

 

I do miss the clutchness vy had. Also I thought Mariota could juke being as athletic as he is but he can't juke at all

 

To be fair, Mett had a worse line last year but no one gave him any credit. Im really close to spending 250 plus on an Authentic Mariota jersey, so yes I am a believer in #8

If you're going to make a case, refrain from using the word "juke". It's called eluding the defender. No QB is based on how they can "juke".

 

I think he is playing very very good for a rookie. I also expect him to be a very good qb in the future.

 

I think he was referring to open field running.

Mariota had one man to beat on that 22 yard run, but he went out of bounds. He's a QB, that's usually the smart play to make so your QB doesn't risk taking the hit. Still would of been nice if he eluded the guy and picked up more extra yards or possibly even a TD.

When you think of other athletic qbs (take Taylor for example) when he was in the open field, he made some of our players miss and went on for a TD.

 

That is the new thought process in the NFL, to have QBs slide or run out of bounds instead of "Juking" and risking dangerous contact.
