Fire Whiz (new head coach thread)

Anybody seen or heard from Da'Norris Searcy this year?

 

Right, wrong, or inbetween, I have always judged a newish coaching staff on special team play. The way I look at it, a coach has almost his entire roster to put together 11 players for special teams. If you can't pick out 11 players and coach them to perform as a unit, then you aren't a good coach. Since Whis has been here, our special teams have looked terrible.


Justin Fuente for head coach. If he can turn around a crap program like Memphis, with diamond in the ruff type of talent, what can't he do?

 

Could be said that the players have actually been the ones to put us in position to win only to be let down by poor coaching.

 

If we're not at least 6-10 by end of this season I say we send run him out of town.

 

Mariota lost us the game today. I'm mostly okay with that, because I know that he is going to win a lot of games for us.

 

Fuente is a genius.

 

Given that we are used to seeing our safeties whiff on tackles or bite or play action or take terrible angles on zone defenses, I think it isn't a bad thing that Searcy has been quiet.

 

Ease up. We had several opportunities to be aggressive on 4th down on their side of field. We punted or tried FGs. Our D gives up big plays EVERY game. A monkey could figure that out. The game plan wasn't the best given our our history. It's more on Whiz and Lebeau then Mariota IMO.

 

If he doesn't miss badly with Wright in the 2nd quarter (I think), we win. Gilmore grabbed KW's mask by the way.
