    that sums it up pretty well, and perfectly explains why, even if we did sneak into the playoffs, a 1st round beatdown would be had.

    The defense did play above expectations yesterday (minus letting the QB run like VY against USC)There simply isn't one position group on the team that is a strong suit..

    LBs-completely subpar
    DL-one solid player out of the 6-7 players, not a solid unit
    DBs-bad
    OL-horrible
    RB-not one NFL starter in the bunch
    TE- Walker is good, nothing else
    WR- Bunch of inconsistent players
    QB- Mariota is looking good, but still a mystery.

    This team has nothing to hang their hat on. Mariota is a start, but he's not taking us anywhere with this JV squad.. So I'm not getting worked up (in a good way, or bad) until they field a team that might stand a chance against the legitimate contenders.

    Wright teases because he's not fed enough and that's on whiz. With a qb like Mariota there's absolutely no reason why this can't be one of the better duos in the league. Find ways to get your playmakers the ball.

    We are going into week 5 and we still haven't established our #1 receiver even though we all know who it is. We have three running backs touching the ball and still waiting for one of them to get hot even though we all for the most part can agree Andrews should be the man. When it's 3rd and at least 15 I'm convinced it's no different then converting a 3rd and short for the opposing team. The defense can't stop the big play.

    I keep thinking about what Orakpo said before the season started " we cant wait until week 10 to fix things because that's ridiculous." Well we are halfway there buddy.....

    Seriously, what would it hurt to give Mett a chance to prove himself over a couple games? Have "Mariota "recuperate" for a few weeks, and have Mett run the offense. If MM is so much better like you guys say then it would be shown, and the organization can move on with whoever is better, and get some assets in return.

    There's a reason why players are upset with the passing game...
