This is a knee-jerk reaction. Poutasi did have that one blown assignment, where he let Williams come free, while trying to assist with the DT. But the only other error wasn't his error. It was Wisenhunt's error putting Craig Stevens on Mario Williams straight up. That's a blown assignment all day long. I don't know of any TE's in the league that could block Williams without some help.

It's not knee jerk when the same blown assignment happens weekly. He's graded out poorly every week. And if you're gonna point to his run blocking, Whiz won't run the damn ball anyway!

Where are you getting this "He graded out poorly" business? Link or it's BS. I so sick of fans pull stuff out of their arses and trying to pass it off as fact. Poutasi seems to be doing pretty darn well for a rookie, and IMO he's done much better than Oher, last year.

We did. Wright dropped one aimed at his face and the other was picked off by Gilmore.

Because the titans think stevens is a great blocking TE? Why is he even in the game or even on the roster baffles me.

Darby didn't make a single play yesterday. Both passes you reference were horrible underthrows by MM, don't you dare blame Wright

JCBrave and others post the weekly PFF grades, all of which has had Poutasi in the deep negative. The PFF page has expired so I can't link, do your homework bra

However I did just read that Poutasi graded out the highest +3.2 of any Titan on offense yesterday. Good for him, I still saw too many misses or blown assignments for my liking.

I think we were better off that Wright drops that ball. He probably gets KTFO'd or fumbles if he doesn't. ...and he was short of the first down.

On the last ball, Gilmore was covering Hunter and just turned around. I'm thinking someone screwed up their route. I tend to blame Hunter.

If we're being realistic (key word: realistic), our playoff hopes have already been dashed. We're 1-3, 0-1 in the division, and 0-3 in the conference. Colts are 3-2 with 3 division wins. And we've got some really tough games ahead.

So with that in mind I say leave Poutasi in there and hope it clicks for him at some point this season. Meredith is a stopgap at best.

I do want to see DGB more involved. So he may not have 100% comprehension of the playbook yet. So what? At this point I don't see the harm in it. Dude's a bigtime mismatch for DBs and the biggest redzone threat we have.

I also agree we need to try to feature one guy in the backfield and see what happens. I think that guy should be Andrews. But I think the FO simply isn't ready to admit their mistake on Sankey. I'm really not a fan of this musical chairs/situational RB system we've been doing. Give a guy a chance to get in a groove and get some confidence going.

Also wanna see more designed runs for Mariota. I get not wanting to just completely turn him loose and having him take a bunch of unnecessary hits. But his legs are one of his biggest strengths and so far we've pretty much totally negated that portion of his game. Makes no sense. We are trying to pick up first downs and win games here after all.

And the biggest thing, we've simply gotta get more creative on 1st and 2nd downs. When we as fans know what's coming you can bet your @$$ that opposing DC's do too.
