Since our season is already headed south for the winter, I've been contemplating just who we would we try to draft with our 1st Rd pick? A CB or RB? Maybe the DE (Oakman) at Baylor?

    What do you guys think?

I suspect it will be a CB/FS. Probably Jalen Ramsey from FSU

The RB field could be so stacked that we could wait until the 2nd Rd to take one, where Derrick Henry, Ezekiel Elliott, or Devante Booker should be waiting to come off the board.

I don't see us going early for a WR, since Wiz seems adverse to using the Size and Speed advantage we have at that position, with Hunter and DGB.

if we pick in the top two, we have to take a QB right? Since we may never be there again right?

If we're high enough in the draft where one or both of the two elite LT prospects (Ronnie Stanley or Laremy Tunsil) I think we have to take one of them. Save Marcus.

Also think Jalen Ramsey (dude is sick) or Vernon Hargreaves would be excellent choices, but I lean toward one of the LTs because making sure Mariota doesn't spend half of his Sundays eating **** should be priority #1

You'd think we would take the biggest beast DT.

Oakman is a freak, but lazy and disappears way too often.

Our achilles heel right now is a lack of a true bell-cow RB (West and Cobb could be, but one is on IR for 8 games and the other is inactive for some crazy reason), and CB. Cox is a decent fill-in, but not a shutdown corner.

However, Orakpo seems only mildly better than Wimbley....so, they might pull the trigger on DE Oakman if he falls to them.

I said it right after this past draft, somehow we will end up with Jalen Ramsey. It's too perfect not to work out. He's a midstate kid who grew up here and we have a gaping hole at CB opposite McCourty. Maybe if we draft him we can tell BWW and Sensabaugh to begin their career in used car sales.

I think we are stacked at DT right now. When everyone wanted Leonard Williams, I kept saying that DaQuan Jones would be a solid starter for us, and very underestimated. Sure enough, he won the starting job and has done pretty well thus far. Casey didn't really make a splash til his 3rd year, so I figured Jones would be a lot like him. They drafted Blackson who is really stout vs the run, so that would be the last position I would expect us to turn to, early in the draft.

Cheers I guess. But I think you wildly overestimate Jones and Blackson. While forgetting that Casey was a stud the minute he touched the field.

I normally would agree with that, but I think Poutasi will prove to be a solid RT, by season's end. I was mad at him for that one bust, where he just let Williams come free, but I suspect that was him thinking the TE was supposed to chip the DE or something. Rookie mistake, and one that should be fixed. But on the whole, I think he's doing a good job

As for CB, Hargreaves is good, but he's on the smallish side, as a DB. Ramsey has that kind of talent and size (6'1"). We'll draft in the top 10, so it probably will be our pick, IMO.
