Casey had 52 tackles, 2.5 sackles, 5 run stuffs, 1 FF, 1 FR, and a PD as a rookie. That is really active for a DT and probably around 10 impact plays.

Jones has been good and active with 12 tackles this year, but he has maybe 2 impact plays in 2 seasons and none this year.

Casey didn't have a starter in front of him, like Jones did (Pitoitau was the starter the year before Jones was drafted and last year. He unseated him this year. And the point remains the same, Casey was a relative unknown in the league until his 3rd yr. Like Jones, Casey wasn't an early round pick, either.

An OLB is probably a luxury, but other than that, yeah....

all titans are relative unknowns. And Casey didn't have a starter in front of him cuz he was damn good. Rookie Casey doesn't let pitoutitiait beat him out.

I never said they had the same exact stats as each other...just that early on, Casey was not a known commodity in the league. Nobody expected him to be a Pro bowl caliber player, like they might if he was a 1st round draft choice or had a big year like he did in 2013. DaQuan's role and impact is not a lot different than Casey's was this early in his career. I'm not even saying he will be as good as Casey...just that nobody EXPECTED much from Casey at this point in his career, either.

We had a dire need at DT when Casey was drafted. THAT is why he started.

I fear those guys will wear down, with no depth behind them. I really expected something out of Massaquoui.

Casey was an impact player from day 1.
