Umm he quit at age 26. Quitter.

It's not his fault he had brittle ligaments but he played in the NFL just like he did in college. Accuracy issues and injuries. Undeniable a good locker room guy. Undeniable an unreliable NFL QB. Undeniable reach pick.

I bet if you asked Locker, he'd agree he quit. He's that kind of honest.

Mett held the ball too long but he was trying to make a play the only way he can- with his arm. If you watch him he's tracking our 2 bad WR's and DW to see which one gets separation first.

Look Mett's sucking so bad was multi-factorial. Bad play-calling with the 5 step drops. Bad O-line play with Poutasi "one on one". Lack of separation from WR's early. And Mett's immobility. Little run support.

And Whiz is no doubt responsible. He calls the plays. He directs the O-line coach. Whiz put Mett in a nearly impossible position to win. There was little that could be done in that situation.

About the only good coaching decision was to keep Mariota OUT of that bad situation. Even with Mariota's mobility, there simply wasn't enough quality WR help to make that gameplan work, especially with the TE's doing little to help contain Watt and Mercilus.

Nope. He's a quitter. He could have competed for a backup job if he were so passionate.. But he decided to quit. Not saying it was a bad move on his part. He got away with a good sum of money for barely playing, But he's a quitter.

Absolutely. If you are young, and can Legitimately compete for an NFL backup job, and you instead "retire" you are a prototypical quitter.

May not be the nicest way to put it, but it's the truth.

Mariota would be lost for the rest of this season and half of the off-season if Whiz had put him out there with that game plan.

I know Mett's not that good. But I feel sorry for him for having to trying to make something out of that super chitty 5 step drop no TE/FB protection gameplan.

I wish a reporter would have called Whiz's azz on that.

Of course it isnt, Bell is too big a b'tch to challenge what's going on right now, hes perfectly content having a job

But it should be is the point

This team is a failure and both Mett and Whiz are why

You guys are missing the problem here. Mett is a 6th rounder who showed some promise last year. Then Whiz happened. The main issue is not whether or not Mett should go, it has to be focused on our head coach, and GM. Where is Underwood at by the way? This team is a train wreck and I understand its easy to blame Mett or the O-Line, or Sense, but bottom line is they are not being coached up.
