Whiz calling out the roster, hilarious, look in the mirror.

    QBs: Locker, CBJ, Mariota, Mett
RBs: Greene, Sankey, McCluster, AA,Cobb, West
WR: Nate, Wright, Hunter, DGB, Douglas
    TE: Walker, Fasano +4
OL: Lewan, Oher, Warmack, LeVitre, Schwenke, Bell, Gallik

Munch got 7-9 wins out of these guys annually and the Whiz has gotten 3 wins in 23 games? That is very poor coaching. He did this in Arizona too.

Whiz must be an intimidating as hell dude in that organization. I can't remember seasons being this poor and little to no whisper of canning the guy. Again it's just discouraging as a fan.

    Players should form a mutiny.

Literally beat the **** out of him, tie him up and dump his body outside of the facility.

Garbage roster? Our defense is in the top 5 in yds given up per game and for the most part has played pretty decently (minus the big plays of course).

    On offense, we have...

    QB (1st round)
    RB (2nd round)
RB good multi-purpose change of pace vet fa
    FB (4th round)
    WR (1st round)
    WR (2nd round)
    WR (2nd round)
    WR Vet #3 fa
TE Top tier pass catching FA
    TE Solid overall vet FA
    LT (1st round)
    LG converted starting LT FA
    OC (4th round)
    RG (1st round)
    RT (3rd round)

You'll be hard pressed to find too many teams with the above level investment in their offense. In case you're not counting, of the 15 players listed, 4 are 1st round picks, 3 are 2nd round picks, 1 is a 3rd rnd pick, 2 are 4th round picks, and we have spent quite a bit on McC, Douglas, Bell, Walker and Fasano. The questions are, why are they so bad? 2 simple answers....coaching and the guy picking/signing players.

Our 2nd round rb is not even our starter but was our starting KR? Our 2nd round WR who has been here for years doesn't play like it and is still making rookie mistakes. Our 2nd round pick this year has barely gotten opportunities. Our 4th round FB who plays well barely gets to see the field. Our LT thinks he's a lot better than he's played. Our Converted LG is very hit or miss. Our 4th round OC was up and down this year before getting hurt. Our RG isn't playing like a 1st round pick. Our 3rd round RT should be spending this year on the bench working his technique issues and play OG.

We seem to have selected or signed a lot of the wrong players, put them at the wrong positions, and/or don't put them in positions to succeed on the field and in the schemes we play. To make matters worse, we have a dysfunctional culture on the team. 5 TE's and 5-6 RB's but only 8 OL doesn't make any sense. Trading a draft pick for a 4th string RB was silly at best. And I have noticed that Levitre and Oher are playing much better on other teams than they did on ours and Oher is playing LT on the Panthers while he couldn't hack RT on our team.

Conversely, Dick Lebeau has turned the D around. Even Griff who is drastically overpaid, is playing much better than he has and is being used much more in positions where he can play to his strengths more than his weaknesses. Keep in mind, our D still needs work (LB and secondary) but you can see the culture shift.

But you can't allow whole units to be failing (special teams, OL) and do almost nothing to 'fix' them. And if Whiz thinks he's doing a good job as playcaller, he hasn't watched the film.

It's just sad how much we've invested into the offensive line for it to suck this bad.

I agree gut, I shouldn't of used the generalization. Our defense is not bad at all, it's mostly our depth that is bad.

I'm a little touch and go on this. I actually agree with most of what you brought up in the initial post. I also agree that if Whiz made his comment publically, he shouldn't have. However, I personally do not think Whiz was entirely to blame and I will continue to say so. Now could he have performed better? Yes...However, if you take team for team around the NFL how many teams can you honestly say the Titans are better than in regards to overall roster?

Let's look at skill positions...our current starting RB...how many teams in the NFL could he supplant the current starter? TE (and I like Delanie btw)? WR? Let's look at our OL? How many players do we have on the OL that are legitimate starters when considering the talent on other teams?

Whiz may have very well deserved to be fired in his own right because to be 2-20 or whatever he wasn't is just horrible. However, I'd rather take 2-14 than 8-8 or 9-7. The problem on this team IS THE LACK OF TALENT. How many players on this roster can you honestly say is an all-pro? I count ONE (JC)!!!

My point is I agree with much of your post, but firing the HC is just sticking a bandaid on the real issue. The real issue is we simply don't have the horses to consistently compete at a high level. Until we address why that is, yes I'm looking your Webster and the Scouting department, we will always continue to bleed out and die a slow death painful death.

Two weeks ago after the lose to the Falcons NFL Network was talking about the Titans in the post game show and made the comment that this is one of the only franchises that consistently mis-judge players at the skill positions. Looking back on everything draft since Eddie George, I fair that is the case considering all the bad picks we've had at those positions in comparison to players left on the board to be drafted.

I disagree... There is talent on O and the D has been decent

Wizinator kept a crazy mix of position groupings. Never seen anything like it in the modern NFL. Then proceeded to NOT utilize his unique set of 5 RBs and 11 TEs....

If one of those TEs cant be moved then at least 1 RB should be dropped off at Walmart and a WR plucked from someones pratice squad. Just to get a few NFLish WRs on the team

    as a first move
