Whisenhunt Fired, Mularkey Named Interim HC

Since 1970 merger, only one coach has had a worse record in his first 23 games with a team than Ken Whisenhunt and that was John McKay with an expansion Tampa Bay Bucs team in 1976.

The personnel is also an issue, but Whiz's coaching was just awful. And this isn't just in TN.... he was awful post-Super Bowl in Arizona, also.

Terrible decisions all the way around from him.



And Cox can say what he wants- he's barely been here. Whiz is probably loved by players- but 3-20 isn't excusable. NO good coach has that kind of record. Just doesn't happen.

These are NFL players... he's not trying to make due with college kids or bums off the street.

NFL network Ian Rapport reported the Titans job will be an attractive one with a franchise signal caller and a 1st round LT anchor Lewan so a few pieces to build around there.

NFL Netowork did go on to say how much the Titans love Mularky which we knew
