Obviously Webster hasn't been very good at anything. Very few hits in drafts or FA since he's been GM, some ridiculous contracts and 2 bad coaches.

Time for a change from President on down. Let the Mariota era be run by a new crew. The old one hasn't done anything worth a damn...

 

Few hits in the draft? I guess that's subjective. Sankey and Hunter are the only ones I think he truly missed on. Jury is obviously still out on 2015 class.
Ridiculous contracts? Levitre sure, but our cap situation is actually better than it's been in a long time.
Who is the second bad coach? Munchak was Reinfeldts (and very much Buds) hire. Edit: And now some people are saying Whisenhunt was Tommy Smiths decision.

Honestly I don't get the hate for Webster. I think LeBeau and Horton have proved that our talent isn't the problem.

Webster was in a front office position before becoming GM and had say in drafts before...

This team is full of below average to average players, some complete duds and MAYBE 3-4 above average players. That's not good drafting.

I'm not completely down on the talent on the team..they should certainly have a better record than they do...but there's no star players that stand out. 99% of people outside of Titans fans couldn't come up with a list of 3 good players on this team. Most probably couldn't name a player on the team unless they knew it for a negative reason.

 

GIVE ME SOME FLOYD REESE. Make him President, get underwood out, and then Reese can find a GM, and head coach. Plus Reese loves the city and the Titans even though he was fired by them in 06. Stats don't lie though, Since Floyd has left, we have had a few good players in 9 years. In 2008, most of that was floyd's team that went 13-3.

 

That is not something new. People outside of the division barely knew McNair or Eddie either. Titans are a small market team, even when successful people dont pay attention.

 

Yeah and our cap budget exploded forcing us to get rid of all of them. It's not hard to build a good roster if you don't care about future cap space.

 

We love Eddie and McNair as Titans fans...but they wouldnt be viewed as football greats by anyone but us fans. It's not because of the small market either.

Here's a good article on Websters players. Most are gone, the rest either didnt live up to their draft position or are barely average starters, starters but shouldn't be or back ups.
