Going 11 for 11 on the final drive in regulation and OT, for 2 TDs and a 2Pt conversion is clutch.
    Clutch for Brady.
    Clutch for Manning.
    Clutch for Big Ben etc.

For a Rook? More than mere clutch,...
    It's F&^#ing PRICELESS!

We were spotted 10 points. Yoda looked good when he wasn't throwing layups for TDs to Walker lol

He was very fortunate a couple of times today. Delanie had his back each time. That's what teammates do.

Why do people want to focus on the 1 or 2 bad passes. .. he threw 39 passes today. 2 bad out of 39 aint too shabby.

4 TDs, 0 ints, 71% cmp. 2 clutch drives ... but let's not let go of a bad play in the 1st q.

Can you image what people would have said if Mett had this type of game?

Agreed. At the end of the season, no one is going to look back and talk about the 2 bad passes. The records will show we won and the stat line we pretty impressive and clutch for MM8.

I think it would be foolish to say Mariota isn't showing the ability to be great in the clutch.

One of the posters on here seems to be mistaking a clutch performance or two with being "historically" clutch. MM is just a rookie and has no doubt already shown he can be clutch. Trying to discount his performances just because he has yet to build a sizable body of work is foolish. What we've seen so far is very encouraging and I think it's but a glimmer of what's to come!

I'm very much in agreement that Mariota is already proving himself to be "clutch" despite the poor performance against Miami. That said, MM needs to improve his accuracy and consistency with deep balls from what I've seen (keeping in mind he hasnt throw a lot of deep balls so far for what its worth).

Yesterday's improved pass protection still has me scratching my head wondering if its a fluke or not. Below I've highlighted 2 of the big plays from overtime that stuck out most, especially since I hadn't seen the Titans utilize any "tap to snap" communication at the line this year.

DGB's 3rd Down Catch in OT
    - Douglas goes in motion showing D's in man coverage
    - MM should know Saints are sending 6 or 7 pass rushers (and the safety is ~ 11 yards deep)
    - Given this pre-snap read --> The best 1-on-1 matchup is DGB on the outside, but the ball needs to be there before safety closes the gap from up top. Its your classic "let your WR make a play" slant.
    - Pay close attention to the pre-snap action on the OL. New starter Joe Looney at LG is looking at MM (and watching Douglas in motion) before quickly giving the center a "tap to snap" signal -- this gives the OL a split second jump to pickup the defensive pass rush.

    Mariota to Fasano TD Catch

    - Fasano goes in motion --> Indicating a zone look on defense
    - CBs are playing ~2 yards off all WRs on the right (with press coverage on Walker after Fasano goes in motion)
    - Fasano (the blocking TE) lines up like an extra blocker while disguising his route with a quick pass block so the ILB will be too late once Fasano makes his break from the block.
    - Again, Looney at LG gives the center a "tap to snap" signal (except this time Looney's watching Mariota's leg/knee from between his own legs instead of literally having his head turned facing MM pre-snap).

Wanted to highlight these plays because I can't remember seeing this much coordination between the Titan's OL this season. Maybe I'm wrong?

Overall, I came away even more impressed with the OL's play today after re-watching the 2nd half of the game.
