Whitehurst Released/Cobb Added to Active Roster

    Whitehurst was a Whisenhurt product. While he could prove useful, I think it's a dumb move to only carry 2 QBs on a roster. MM or Mett gets hurt and if CBJ is already signed somewhere else, then you are dependent upon a free agent to come in quick and lose a game.

    Like a Ryan Mallett, Christian Ponder, or maybe even a slightly aged Kitna if we play our cards right.

    Would not be opposed to trading Mett in the offseason even if it's the bare minimum which is all he's probably worth at this time ...

    Mariota does need a more veteran presence behind him I think - it couldn't hurt to sign one in the offseason to hold the clipboard and possibly mentor MM

    Whis apparently thinks 3 lbs is overweight. Another bullsh*t tactic Whis gave while he tried to figure out how he would incorporate a 4th rb to his "hot hand" committee. No different then him saying he didn't want to overload DGB because he was young. The guy was just an incompetent nipple when it came to coaching.
