A real leader.

Winston is a more instinctive runner than Mariota is why.

Winston will drop back/roll out (btw, the bucs call more roll outs and moving pocket plays for Winston than we do Mariota, why??) and knows right then if he should tuck it and pick up a few yards or continue his reads. The fact he is better at reading the pocket so he can slip out helps too.

Theres been times Marcus has a lane and could easily picked up a few yards. But he continues making his reads. It has paid off some plays and he's made nice throws. Other times he has taken a sack or tried to throw it in wet blanket coverage.

 

I would take Marcus over JW any day. Dude throws lollipops to DB's and has a history of being a dumb a$$. Both QB's have done well, but Winston still can't surpass him with 2 beast receivers, a quality TE, and run game, oh, and 2 less games. I see Winston as much more of a risk IMO.

 

I rather have the Wins, but keep in mind that Winston sucked his senior year in college, but his FSU team had tons of talent around him to win. As mentioned before...he has a better running back and 2 big "Consistent" Wr's in TB....he is surrounded by better talent at the skills position there then MM8.

Also, a QB is not like a pitcher where you get W's and L's and can dominate a game by yourself.....in football you go as your team goes.

 

Still, don't think Marcus isn't the leader type cause he isn't super vocal.

Even Mularkey said the day after he was named interim HC, he got to the facility early to set everything up and address the team and said Marcus was already there working out and studying film.

First to arrive, last to leave type of player. Practically lives at St. Thomas sports park. Lead by example. Put in work and show to everyone else what can happen when you do.

 

One of those wins is because his crap defense held a team to two FGs.

Mett would have won both of his games had the defense held the opposing offenses to six points.

Your talking about the GOAT now.....can't put him in a conversation about 2 rookies and he also has the best coach in the NFL where they "plug-in play
" random players on both sides of the ball and get production from them.
