I'd think long and hard about bringing in Berry. He's missed 11 games since the start of 2013 and also missed 15 in 2011.

Those 11 games were because he had cancer; a completely non football related injury.

Yeah, I'm aware, but what if he relapses? Relapses of Hodgkin's Lymphoma usually happen within two years of the initial treatment and he's about 12 months removed from that.

I would think long and hard about that risk.

I feel like we should be done with WRs under 200lbs, especially taller ones.

The game is just too fast and physical for anyone that small to be flying around out there.

If the draft were held today, we would have the first pick. I know most sites show that the Browns would, that's just because they've played more games and have more losses than us. Obviously they wouldn't be ahead of us since they won head to head.

Anyway, I keep wishing this draft class were better stocked with elite WR talent. It would have been perfect for us to take a guy that high since we have no playmakers there. I SO wish Amari Cooper had stayed for his senior season. Can you imagine the damage he and Mariota could do together?

Right now, the two picks I think we would have to consider is Jalen Ramsey to play opposite McCourty or Laremy Tunsil, OT from Ole Miss. If we went OT that early, that probably means Lewan moves to RT, which wouldn't be a bad thing.

    Thoughts?

Also forgot to mention, if we do have the #1 pick, a trade is a very likely situation. It's possible a team who needs a QB would give us a kings ransom. That could be how we get our impact WR (or player), have a QB needy team offer one as part of their trade up.

Someone like the Bills, Rams or Bears come to mind. If the Bills loved one of the QBs would they offer Sammy Watkins to move up? What about the Rams offering one of their stud d-lineman like Robert Quinn to move up and get a QB?

Now that we have Mariota, we have options.

In response to your first post: I agree that from what I've seen from the receiver class, none of them warrant a top 5 pick so hears hoping DGB develops into a stud. I agree with your two options for picks but I think Ramsey will make a better safety but that's not really important at this point.

As for above, I think if we are top 3 picks then trading back into the 5-8 range would be ideal but is always easier said then done. Trading players for draft picks is always difficult and rarely happens and I think I'd prefer additional draft picks anyways.

If you have 40 minutes check this out (because McCourty and Cox are #2's not 1's):

To me, and I know I'm going to be in the minority with this, but I don't see Ramsey as being a top 5 pick. I would start to feel comfortable with him outside of the top 5 and would think it was a really solid pick outside of the top 10. Now, if he fills a position of need, I wouldn't be mad at "reaching" for him if we decided to go that route if we have a top 5 pick. I like him much better as a safety who you can let run and go make plays. I'm not as high on him as a CB. I personally like Hargreaves a lot better in that regard. Still, Ramsey overall is my DB1 as long as he is at safety. If he stays at CB, he is my DB2 (huge difference, I know).
