All things Cam thread

Tennessee IMO is not a hated team like say, the Cowboys, Patriots, or maybe the Eagles, ect. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I would say that most people that come here probably wouldn't come to spit Venomous hate or anything. Most likely they would just rib you guys a little bit, its football, or say good game, or in my case a little bit of everything as well as to see kinda where the fan base is since I moved out of Knoxville.

Anyhow, when you come here and see a 40+ page thread that is wishing injury on a player for celebrating. Not Randy Moss celebrating, but an 8 second dance btw, yeah that tends to make the interaction a bit more chirpy. You should tell the mean spirited Titans fans that make those statements to "Take your little snarky comments somewhere else bro", you don't represent us. Instead of being angry at people who call out that behavior.

And yep, it there are elements of race to it. If you don't believe that, its probably because you're part of the problem. Find one thread anywhere that is calling a white QB ANYTHING negative for celebrating. Johnny Football, Brett Farve, Aaron Rogers, Carson Palmer, Philip Rivers, Tom Brady, all have either patented celebration or are known ish talkers, but they are just "passionate".

Anyway, I don't think this board represents the majority of Titans fans but if this is what people see when they come here they will assume. Which is unfortunate.

I was there. I have zero idea what they showed on TV but after sCam's in the EZ, which was way more than a bullride, he wandered around the edge of the stadium then did a Lambeau leap thingy for a while then did some more on his round about way back to his bench area

lol @ Stephen Smith claiming it's racist and no blacks had a problem with what Cam did. The first people who let it be known on the field they had a problem were black. lol

 

I got it, its one of those. "Who you gonna believe me or your lying eyes" things huh. There is a very important concept called sequence of events that comes into play here.

1. Titans fail to Stop sCam from Scoring (the s is for Super, we do the same thing)
2. Cam Celebrates for about 8 seconds (which is maybe 2 seconds too long?)
3. Titans defenders get butt hurt and tell him he can't Celebrate.
4. He gives a ball to a fan (something they will never forget)
5. NOW he celebrates more and do all the stuff you said.

You act as though he went from #1 STRAIGHT to #5 with nothing happening in between. He celebrated for 8 seconds before Avery Williamson, who just celebrated after sacking Cam mind you, got butt hurt.

 

You're right, the same black guy that just got finished dancing after a sack. I'm not talking stuff on the field. I'm talking about the perception of Cam Newtons celebration by mainstream media and fans. Its like Thursday and we're still talking about an 8 second urban dance from a black guy while Aaron Rogers discount double check commercials play in the background. You don't find that odd?
