I'm curious to know everyone's prototypical WR/RB by player comparison.

What is it you want in a WR/RB? Such as speed, great hands, ability to break tackles, leaping ability size, etc.

Just name type of WR and RB you like the most based on abilities.

My prototypical WR is Joey Galloway. Reason being for his ability to be versatile at WR, PR, and KR. The fact that he was super fast and extremely elusive. Those are what I look for in a WR.

As for RB, my prototypical RB is a Priest Holmes. Could run inside the tackles, as well as outside the tackles. Was deadly in the passing game, could break tackles and was elusive enough to take it 80 yards.

My prototypical WR is one that knows to turn his head around at some point in his route. The RB question is really hard. Priest Holmes was great. I was thinking Curtis Martin or LaDainian Tomlinson.

Dez is my prototype wr. Size, speed, route running, passion, leaping. He has it all and has put it all together.

RB is AP/Gurley. They are very similar. Big backs that can run over, around, by and through you. You try to get in front of them and they will run over you, if you try to arm tackle they'll run through you. You take a bad angle they run right by you. If you attack them aggressively, they pull a move and run right around you. You're screwed no matter what you try to do. Both have decent hands as well.

I just want someone who can catch the damned ball....

Everything else is just icing on the cake we can't or won't draft.

I can see LT being a prototypical RB, but not Curtis Martin. Great guy and was a great RB. But he was never really talented or did anything special, kinda like Emmitt Smith. They made their names based off of hard work and consistency. Unless hard work and consistency is what you look for in a RB.

Just want to get this straight. You are saying the number 1 and number 4 leading rushers of all time have no talent?

I dont think I can agree on Priest. Just based alone on his O-line. It was so godly he could have just been Demarco Murray of his time.

WR I would want either Issac Bruce or Torry Holt.

    That's right.

They were great football players that knew how to play the game with very limited talent.
