Say we beat the Raiders, Jags and Colts. Does Mularky keep his job with a record of 4-5 since taking over? Would give us a record of 5-11 and a top 10 draft pick. Many on here were predicting that for the season before it began.

He has come into a really difficult situation here, and I feel bad for him after the Jags game, really wasn't his fault. I wanted us to go for it on 4 and 2 but I understand why he didn't.

Say we beat Raiders,Jags and Colts. Would you be willing to keep Mularky if:

    - Bostad and Jason Michael were fired, and suitable replacements were found.
    - Lebeau and Defensive coaches were all retained.
    - Webster guaranteed that maximum resources would go into upgrading this offense in the offseason.

No, outside of win vs Saints it looks like the same team as under whiz, Mularkey won the first one and the team has looked bad since.

Time for a compete overall imo

When you say "keep his job" do you mean as Headcoach or returned to TE coach? He MIGHT be a fine TE coach, but if you are talking about HC, all I can say is... HAH hell no.

Nope. Next question. He sealed his fate in the jags game.

So no-one will change their tune if we go 3-3 the rest of the way?

No-one would be impressed if Mularky goes 4-5 ?

I say no, he's already failed as a head coach not just once but twice.

That's like some team a couple years from now looking at Whiz and saying "I wonder how he would do as a head couch, maybe we should give him a shot". We'd just waste another year or two.

Going 4-5 after the previous idiot brought a fully fit squad to 1-6 with an easier schedule. Is that a failure??

Hey I am up for exploring our options, but if Mularky has the team support and Lebeau support then its an option. Jags loss was on Supernaw and Kern not Mularky.

3-3 or 4-5 still sucks..better than no wins at all but we should aim higher..its not all on Mularkey, this team is short on top level talent, we need a ton of changes..players, staff, scouts

It's respectable man, I mean if he goes 3-3 the rest of the way it's like heck of a job man, congrats. But history has shown it's very hard for an interim coach to get hired full time, and the reality is that most people asking if he wins 4 or 5 games should he say are looking at the schedule and thinking there are 3 or 4 winnable games with mediocre teams on the schedule.

You don't get the full time job for winning games you should win. You get the the job for taking a team incapable of winning and you start winning and showing signs that you have an approach that allows the players to do things they previously could not, and that translates to wins.

Malarkey already ruined it for himself by letting the jags win the game when he had the lead in the 4th quarter. It was business as usual for the titans. His first words after the loss was "we need to get over the hump" business as usual.

There is not enough different going on to make anyone beleive he is the answer for the next 3-5 years, that too big a commitment. Titans need a new staff.

My instincts are telling me the Titans will get so destroyed in new england, reminiscent of 2009, that this season will end worse than last year. I don't yhink they win another game this season. Players are in verge of mailing it in. At least they will have the new Orleans win!
