What came in for a play or two. His first start didn't come until against the Cowboys. And a much better team you say oh smart one? Try again and do some research before you come back with ridiculous comments. Titans defense was ranked near the bottom that season. His best wr was bo Scaife who was a much worse TE than Walker.

Let's see Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, A
Big TE (Jenkins) who has yet to show his potential due to injuries The Muscle Hamster or whatever he now wants to be called I forget ...

Supporting staff is light years ahead of the Titans

MM has Delanie Walker and possibly Kendall Wright as the only consistent playmakers however the former cast is far more productive as a whole over the latter.

Still take MM over Winston just got to wait for some real talent to be surrounded around him

Give us those WRs and he will have a better year? How many drops have the Titans had this year? Obviously Justin plays too small, Kendall is a glorified slot guy, Douglas is inconsistent, and DBG hasn't shown he knows what's going on the field yet.

All be it we have some talent there, let's not kid ourselves Jackson and Evans is an upgrade over EVERY WR on our team at the moment. This is why Walker gets so many looks his direction.

This is all the more reason why I've been saying, if we know we can't win now (get into the playoffs and at least win 1 game), I say at this point be competitive, but let's secure our draft spot and go get some freaking weapons for Marcus. He will be a great QB in time. We just need to get him some weapons. A true threat on the outside at WR, possibly consider an upgrade at RB, and definitely a new CB or Safety. In this draft I'd love to see us pick up maybe 2WR, 1 CB, 1 Safety, 1 RB. Don't care after that lol

I think the key difference is of every game we lost this year you can probably contribute 2 to MM. Obviously that late INT the Colts game and there was another game where he threw a late INT. But hell as a rookie I can take that. Part of the learning curve is knowing what to do and what not to do and you only know that by testing the waters and making mistakes and learning from them.

We can almost contribute nearly every loss ZM played in to him (I can even admit that and I like him).

this is probably Mariota's best quality. He knows how to digest something after seeing it once or twice.. He should only keep improving as a pro over time..

This is exactly my point. Nearly every great QB has a great WR. We need to go get that. Only great QB I can think of in recent years without a great WR is Brady and he's a cheater lol (have to throw that in there).

In all honesty though, the year they got him a great WR in Randy Moss Brady and the Pats pretty much lit a match and torched the ENTIRE NFL. I would want nothing more than to go out and get a Stud WR with our top pick of this draft. Our second round pick I would want us to go CB and someone with the ability to KR/PR. We are absolutely dead in special teams. It's a phase of our team that no one comments on that we really should focus on. This teams needs to have the ability to flip the field on special teams. This is another reason why our average field position starts below our own 20 yard line. Definitely should be an area of focus. If we don't draft one we should look to upgrade that roll in FA for sure. Haven't had a good consistent returner since Pac-Man.

The main problem on KR has been the ball being taken out if the endzone when it shouldn't be. Take a knee instead of getting tackled at the 11 yard line.

With a large percentage of kicks being touchbacks there are few opportunities for big returns. It's a gamble to take the ball out of the endzone so you don't really want someone doing that very often.

Knowing how the NFL schedules games on the rotating schedule:

    6 Divisional Games
    4 Conference Games
    4 Games outside of Conference
    2 Floating Games

I would be shocked if the NFL try to link these two together and have them play more frequently than 4 years. The NFL took advantage of the 2 floating games to pit Brady against Manning every year for a while. No saying they won't do the same if they think everyone wants to see that matchup.
