I don't know too much about players and their personalities, but I did watch Nkemdiche play a few, and he looked like a man among boys. My eyes kept ending up on him.

Are any of them worth #1 pick? Let's see, you have Ramsey out of FSU 6'1" 204lbs, Fuller out of VT 5'11"195 lbs (coming off of injury)-good player, but not that high- Hargreaves out of Florida 5'11" 190lbs- King out of Iowa 5'11" 200 lbs-
Is there enough value in these guys to take in the top 3? We lose sooooo many games due to our secondary.

He looked good this past weekend, but look at his career numbers. Why does a man among boys only get 5 sacks in his first 30 something starts?

This is the year to get the playmaking DBs we've lacked for about six years. I wouldn't be opposed to going Ramsey first and then a true corner in the middle rounds.

McCourty is solid, but he'll also be 29 by the time next season starts and will be coming off of two groin surgeries. Parrish Cox has been a journeyman and he'll also be 29 by the time the season starts. Searcy has been invisible all season. Michael Griffin just sucks and needs to go.

Anyone mentioned Paxton Lynch from Memphis yet? I don't know if he's going to be great, but he has the potential to have half a dozen teams fall in love with him and beg us to trade the pick - if we end up with #1.

I hope we find ourselves in a position of strength.

I'm in agreement with you, my only issue is are those DBs worth a top 3 pick?

I would be ok taking a shutdown bonafide #1 corner top 3, but probably not any type of safety.

So ideally be able to trade back a few spots and grab Hargreaves

I'm working under the assumption that we're running the same defense next year as we are this year, and if that is the case then I would say yes. Ramsey is at his best when he's roaming, blitzing, and disrupting, which is the exact role Polamalu had in this defense. He has the added bonus of being better in coverage.

I think Ramsey has a bigger impact at safety/NB than Hargreaves has at CB in this defense. When did Pittsburgh ever have a shutdown CB? Ike Taylor was above average and the other CB was a revolving door every year.

You know I understand, but still, what seems to be a bigger problem area....covering WRs or our safeties playing in the box?

I don't understand why we have Griffin in the box and Searcy in coverage. On the blown 4th down play Sunday, that was the first play I've seen Griffin make in coverage in at least 10 weeks. It just seems like we are using them backwards
