that was the first time I've seen mariota that visibly impacted. he needs some talented veterans he can lean on when the game is on the line other than just walker.

 

And WR talent

 

Imagine what he could do with true WR talent. Considering the numbers he put up sunday, and all season.

Maybe we should let our TE group play WR too. Might be more productive. Lol

The defense only gave up 17 points (+7 gifted by the refs). Even if they didn't play great and some of the players are pure garbage, when you hold another team to 3 TDs or less you expect to win. How many games have our offense produced 3 TDs or more?

 

isn't it funny...just last year we all thought we had a very good young wr group. Then this year not so much...wonder what could of changed

 

Who is "we all"?

Outside of Wright, I never felt good about any of the WRs.

 

This is the first I saw him try to force the ball into places that probably didn't have a chance. I understand he is trying to give his receivers more chances at making plays but the personnel is not there to do it. I still thought he had a good game and he will continue to learn from his mistakes.

 

he is learning, he's figured out how to work behind this mess of a line, he's now securing the ball better, and he's running when theirs a lane vs just trying to outrun guys...

He's displaying all the mistakes rookies make, and that was expected... Im happy to see he's growing each week tho...

The one thing Im seeing he struggles with the most is knowing what the DB's are doing. In college they played pretty straight up, it was man or zone, but in the NFL they disguise that a lot better and he's still not sure on some plays... But that should take care of itself in time
