Don't get me wrong..... I am glad you are coming around...... However, Like an hour ago weren't you the one telling me to let it play out? I was "Jumping"......

Did it just sit in that it is much more likely that he is in fact staying in place, than leaving? I honestly am not trying to be smart; just curious...... LOL

Ok, so lets play this game. So take what we have now, and ask yourselves if the garbage we see on a weekly basis are personnel that are bad and at their ceiling, or do we have a bunch of players that can be a LOT better with MUCH better coaching? With all the athletic accolades some of our players get, should they not be better than what we are getting?

Yea they can clock fast 40 times, and look athletic. However, in the NFL they cannot play fast.

    Per an article on NFL.com:
"The fastest speed recorded by a Tennessee wide receiver in Week 11 was 14.69 mph, per Next Gen Stats, slower than tight ends Anthony Fasano and Clay Harbor in the same game."

So your comment really hits the nail on the head. He is picking players he thinks are good athletes; however, they are not good football players!!

    Great point.

I feel RW even has missed on the mental aspect of the players he has drafted as well. Do the players want to be a PROFESSIONAL Nfl player or just a guy that plays within the nfl. There is a difference, one wants to perfect their game/craft to be the best they can be. While the other its just the title of "nfl player" oh and the cash money. Sadly this is a trend all around the nfl now days. I feel the Titans have a few.

Possibly.... However, what player could not be better with MUCH better coaching? I question the effort of our WRs. That is something that is a character issue IMO. Something the guy evaluating them should be looking for. Check this out from NFL.Com:

"The fastest speed recorded by a Tennessee wide receiver in Week 11 was 14.69 mph, per Next Gen Stats, slower than tight ends Anthony Fasano and Clay Harbor in the same game"

You cannot tell me that not one of our WRs is faster than Anthony Fasano. Especially with "With all the athletic accolades some of our players get". I mean it is that bad. They are physically gifted, no doubt. However, in a game they are not playing fast. If it is not an effort issue then it may be mental. Maybe they cannot process the game fast enough. So which is worse? A GM picking guys that has character issues; or picking guys that cannot think on their feet in a game? Either way he picked these WRs. Heck he traded up for Hunter, who has been highly unproductive.

I am not discrediting what you are saying. maybe our team improves drastically next year on offense with a new HC. However, I do not have any faith in that happening.

What do I really know? I'm full of conjecture and I love to speculate.

All I'm saying is I don't know how one can reason itself out to give one man just a year and let the other skate by for the talent he has brought in. If you're going to cut Kens time short. You need to do the same for him.

I tell my son all the time that a good part of sports is mental. You have to go into it with 100% effort if not more. Even in a losing effort. You do that, you have a chance to have success in sports. Even then some have that mind set others don't.

I know it ain't gonna be popular to hear, but Webster has somewhat redeemed himself with this past draft and FA. Almost all the defensive moves he made turned out well. Orakpo, Morgan, Cox and Searcy in FA. DT's Jones and Blackson were good draft picks, the past few years. Williamson was a good find.

On offense, he has tried to upgrade the OL through the draft, with two 1st Rd picks on OL in back to back years, and Poutasi has great potential to develop into a solid OG or OT. Spain looks like he might be a steal. DGB was probably a huge steal. He will just take a bit longer to develop, since he didn't play in college last year (had to sit out per NCAA rules). He needs Cobb to step up and pay off.

But, the biggest thing Webster did to redeem himself, was getting a legit franchise QB, in Mariota. That's no small thing, because many talking heads and a huge portion of the fanbase wanted us to give Mett another chance....to flop, and to draft a DL we really didn't need (not as bad as we needed a franchise QB). Many draftnicks were also saying Mariota was a bad fit for the NFL. They only got on board, late...when it was clear we were going to take MM8.

I think Webster really botched the Sankey pick...which I hated the moment he made it, and since. Carlos Hyde was a much better option. But aside from that and Andy Levitre not panning out, he's done a pretty decent job overall. So, I can see why the front office would feel confident in him for the next year or so. Great GM's don't grow on trees, and you never really know what you're gonna get. So, Webster would be more of a proven commodity than a roll of the dice candidate.

We're giving credit to Webster for making the Mariota pick? C'mon.
