Voters can use whatever criteria they want. Bucs had those weapons last year and were 2-14.

I wish. It's not grass smudges from hitting the grass, it's clippings from mowing the grass instead of being inside watching titans games.

 

They also pulled their starters in order to lose games. That was not a 2-14 football team, they tanked for winston. Smart move, but it should take away from the jump they've made this year.

 

VY had 12 passing TD and 17 INTs. He also had some eye-popping runs, but nothing really sustainable. OROY over MJD, who was really deserving.

 

You're kidding yourself if you don't think they're going to factor in wins. Not sure if thats the way it ought to be, but thats how they get their storylines going. Easy to come up with a story "look at how Winston took a 2-14 team and brought them to 8-8, what a single difference!"... Easier than "Mariota looks really good and brought the Titans all the way up to 3-13!".

Regardless, Winston has been playing really well. I don't think we should resort to putting down Winston any chance we get to make Mariota look better... Both will be top QBs for the next decade and a half. This last draft will be looked at as the best top-end QB draft in the last decade imo. Both teams are going to be VERY happy with their investment. Would love to see a Winston vs Mariota superbowl some day
